Taylor Swift may actually be as innocent as she looks!
In a new interview with London's The Telegraph, the 21-year-old says that she's not willing to show off her goodies on a CD cover, in a video or in a magazine just to create buzz for herself.
"I like wearing pretty dresses, and I like trying out new styles, but I don't feel comfortable taking my clothes off," she says. "I wouldn't wear tiny amounts of clothing in my real life, so I don't think it's necessary to wear that stuff in photo shoots."
The singing sensation has worked hard to get where she is, knowing at a very a young age that this is the path she wanted her life to take. When she was just 11, Swift was inspired by a documentary on country superstar Faith Hill. When Hill mentioned she was discovered in the city of Nashville, she led Swift on a journey to achieving her dreams.
"I got it in my head that there was this magical land called Nashville where dreams come true and that's where I need to go!" she said. "I began absolutely non-stop tormenting my parents, begging them on a daily basis to move there."
Ten years and a slew of music awards later, that's where Swift calls home. "It's so crazy to think that now things are a lot different."
Perhaps she could credit her success to being mature beyond her years and not needing to be a member of the pop-singer, party-girl crowd. Admitting she "over-thinks and over-analyzes everything," Swift says she doesn't drink because she always wants to have her wits about her.
"I worry I might come off in a way that I can't control," Swift admits. And it's also why she doesn't raise her voice to anyone. "If you’re yelling you’re the one who’s lost control of the conversation."
Swift is in a category of her own. A poised, uber-talented superstar who refuses to be shaken by fame and fortune. How refreshing.
